Md Asad Uz Zaman
Asad Zaman is an agricultural scientist and plant pathologist with over a decade of experience in crop health and sustainable agriculture. He holds degrees in Agricultural Science and Plant Pathology from Gazipur Agricultural University, Bangladesh, and then served as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). Currently pursuing a PhD at Murdoch University, his research focuses on exploring the rhizosphere microbiome of avocados to suppress Phytophthora species, aiming to develop eco-friendly alternatives to chemical pesticides. Asad has authored/co-authored 11 peer-reviewed studies, led field trials, and collaborated with international agricultural networks. He enjoys mentoring young researchers, exploring, photography, Australian biodiversity, and organic gardening.
